Singham Again Box Office: Ajay Devgn-starrer has superb hold on Saturday, crosses Rs. 40 crores milestone again

  • by

After bringing on Rs. 43.70 crores on Friday, Singham Again had a superb hold on Saturday as well. Considering the fact that this was coming off Diwali, the collections could well have dropped by around 10% and no one would have actually complained. However, that was not the case to be as the hold was really strong and as a result the film managed to bring in over Rs. 40 crores all over again.

This was seen from the fact that a mammoth Rs. 40 crores* more were accumulated by the film on Saturday and that’s really quite good. To think of it, the film is bringing in this much on a clash and that too when another film is closing in on Rs. 40 crores as well (yes, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has been spectacular too). Moreover, it doesn’t have all the screens at its disposal and is playing at 60% available capacity. Still to collect this much with audience attention divided as well is a big deal indeed.

The film has now reached Rs. 83.70 crores* and as you read this, Rs. 100 crores mark has already been crossed by the Ajay Devgn led biggie. The film will comfortably cross the lifetime numbers of Singham Returns in 2-3 days more and then it would be Sooryavanshi, which will be surpassed next. Together, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty’s biggest so far has been Golmaal Again (Rs. 205.70 crores) and that number will be history by the second Friday, if not within this week itself.

*Estimates. Final numbers awaited

Note: All collections as per various box office sources
