​The fiercely contested battle for 13 parliamentary seats in Punjab, which took place under scorching temperatures, concluded with the Congress party securing victory in seven constituencies. The incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) managed to win three seats, while the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) emerged victorious in one constituency. Two independent candidates also tasted success, notably including the imprisoned pro-Khalistan Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh, who won from the Khadoor Sahib constituency
